CoC Chair Announcement

Dr. David Woody, III Voted Chair of the Dallas and Collin County Continuum of Care (CoC)

During last week’s Continuum of Care (CoC) Assembly Meeting, President and CEO of The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center, Dr. David Woody, III, was elected to Chair The Dallas & Collin County Continuum of Care (CoC). Dr. Woody has served as Vice-Chair of the group during the past two years. Dr. Woody will lead the CoC Assembly Executive Council – a recently created oversite committee designed to ensure that the CoC structure and operational policy development makes homelessness rare, brief, and non-reoccurring in Dallas and Collin Counties. The local homeless response system is in the midst of a system-wide transformation. The newly structured plan engages homeless citizens in identifying a home of their own, while ensuring that all sectors of our community – criminal justice, education, health, mental health, workforce, and housing – are focused on crafting the necessary collaborative relationships to reduce homelessness.

Congratulations, Dr. Woody! We couldn’t be more proud and are so excited to see how your CoC leadership will help reduce homelessness in Dallas and Collin County.
